Four More Years!

The video "For More Years" was a very interesting take on a political campaign and even more interesting that this was done in the early seventies. You get to see this very large spectrum of people who attended these conventions and it is quite interesting what sort of opinions they have on things. As TVTV started out they began with the Pro-Republican crowd and the young voters who attended the convention. Everything seemed very orderly and clean with the right decorations provided by the Nixonetts and the cookies they fed to guests. There was controversy of the young voters seeming that they were brain washed to come to this convention.
What struck my interest most was the fact that they were reporting on the reporters. Instead of just seeing what the reporters say on network television we get to hear their opinions on the convention behind the cameras. They had thoughts about how the convention was very dull and robotic and if they had a choice they would watch it at home. As they made a shift to outside with the protestors you could see not only the opinions of the dirty hippies but mothers and normal middle class women as well and how the war affected them.
