Four more years

TVTV's broadcast is like fresh, unprocessed, unpackaged food in a market of canned beans and spam. Their angel is very interesting and thought provoking. For instance, the interviewer at the convention party talking to Tricia and Edward Cox, unlike network journalist, asked the tough questions and put her subjects in a tight spot. It was also interesting to hear some negative comments about the convention AT the convention from the journalists covering the event.
The piece on the VAs made me realize not much has changed since 1970s in the way we treat out veterans, nor the way they are used as political propaganda. The thing that struck me the most about the veterans protest was the narrow-mindedness of the spectators, one lady in particular calling the vets aimless creature looking for trouble.
My first reaction to some of the clips, especially the one with the lady organizing the convention party, was: these people are BRAINWASHED!!!!! Seriously, she was saying, "I want you to look like this is fun, because it is!" I would hate to be those poor girls. The only sound of reason, in my opinion, came from Walter Cronkite. He was the only one to point out that you have to provide people with facts and educate them to choose for themselves. Cronkite's view, however, is against the very essence of a convention.
The last piece on the convention protest turned violent was I believe the only genuine moment of the whole convention, there was real fear one could sense. Lastly, the choice to cover the protest alongside candidacy announcement party further emphasized a point brought up earlier, the great divide between the American people and their government, which if I may say, makes the 2004 election deja vu all over again.
