The video "Prying" by Vito Acconci was very disturbing and sickening to watch. It was hard to believe that they previously planned this attack and decided to video tape it. It was sickening to watch as he pulled on her face and as she struggled against his grip. It was also interesting how she didn't run on way or really fight back physically as he clawed at her face. she did struggle some and turned her face and tried to keep her eyes closed but did not resist completely, in a sense she almost kept coming back to to him to let him torture her more.
For the twenty-one minurtes that they struggle its hard not to think about what each one of the characters is thinking. It seems like an emotional battle as he is trying to get in and she is trying to stay in, or closed up, and only slightly giving in once and a while. To me, this is a metaphor for Acconci's message about the impact of T.v. He is acting like the driving force (tv) and she is the viewer (in this case Acconci) and trying to fight against it.
